This is the self-proclaimed task that Elon Musk and his AI-experienced team with former members of DeepMind, OpenAI and Tesla have set themselves. We can look forward to seeing what developments and milestones this new super team will achieve.

The xAI team
The team is led by Elon Musk, CEO of Tesla and SpaceX. As a team, they have collaborated to develop some of the most widely used methods in the field, notably the Adam optimizer, batch normalization, layer normalization, and counterexample detection.
We have also introduced innovative techniques and analysis such as Transformer-XL, Autoformalization, Memorizing Transformer, Batch Size Scaling, and μTransfer.
In addition, they have contributed to and partially led the development of some of the most important breakthroughs in the field, including AlphaStar, AlphaCode, Inception, Minerva, GPT-3.5, and GPT-4.
